Lexi De Silva is a Melbourne based costume designer. In 2004 she graduated with honors in a Bachelor of Production: Costume Design, at the Victorian College of the Arts. Here she worked with the likes of Hugh Colman on "Remembrance of Things Past" and Robert Draffin on his stage adaptation of "Smiles of a Summer Night".

Since then, Lexi has worked professionally in a wide variety of performance styles with many different companies across Australia. Her professional design credits include costume design for Sweedeedee and Halcyon, both choreographed by Tim Harbour, and La Bayadere: Pas D'Action, all for the Australian Ballet ;  La Sylphide and La Fille Mal Gardee, both for West Australian Ballet ;  Pecan Summer, Australia's first indigenous opera written and directed by Deborah Cheetham ;  Dead Mans Cell Phone and The Grenade directed by Peter Evans for MTC ;  Julius Caesar Directed by Steven Heathcote for the Victorian Opera ;  Kiss Me Kate directed by Kim Durban ;  Song of the Bleeding Throat and Berggasse 19: The Apartments of Sigmund Freud, directed by Brian Lipson ;  and Seussical: the musical at the Athenaeum theatre. Lexi was also assistant/apprentice to Hugh Colman as Set and Costume designer for the Australian Ballet's new version of Swan Lake, choreographed by Stephen Baynes. In 2026 Lexi re-staged her design of La Fille Mal Gardee with the Estonian Ballet Company, in Tallin, Estonia.

Lexi has also worked as a stylist for TV and photo shoots, including such shows as Before the Game, Neighbours, Masterchef, The 100 and The Cheap Seats.

In addition to designing, Lexi has also worked as a costume maker for companies such as the Australian Ballet, MTC, and Victorian Opera. This knowledge significantly enhances her design work. Her deep understanding of fabrics and sewing construction ensures her costumes are not only detailed and sympathetic but also successful in execution.
